Obituary for Jerrie Shepherd
Jerrie Shepherd, daughter of the late Wiley and Lonthal Adams Tolliver was born July 31, 1947 in Whitesburg, Kentucky. She entered eternal life Thursday, February 4, 2021 at the Pikeville Medical Center being 73 years, 6 months and 2 days of age at the time of her passing.
She married Don Shepherd, March 25, 1964 in Clintwood, Virginia. He preceded her in death on February 13, 2017. Jerri belonged to the Blair Branch Old Regular Baptist Church where she was baptized on January 20, 1975. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all that knew her.
She is survived by two sons; Don (Missy) Shepherd of Goose Creek, Kentucky and David (Angel) Shepherd of Elkhorn City, Kentucky. One daughter, Donna (Alvin) Branham of McRoberts, Kentucky. Six grandchildren; Andrew (Katie) Branham, Kayla (Jake) Newsome, Hailey Shepherd, Rylan Shepherd. Two grandsons she raised; Logan Shepherd and Layton Shepherd. Three great great grandchildren; Weston, Jonah and Eden.
Also surviving are a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Shepherd. And several brothers and sisters.
